Randstad Education has been exclusively engaged to find a visionary leader for the position of Head of HSIE at a prominent Catholic All-Boys College in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. This is an ongoing, permanent leadership role.

The Role
This is a key middle-management leadership position. We are seeking a strong external applicant capable of leading a high-performing faculty through a period of growth and excellence.
Provide strategic direction for the HSIE department, mentoring staff and fostering a culture of collective teacher efficacy.
Oversee the development and implementation of HSIE programs across Years 7–12, ensuring alignment with NESA requirements and the school’s Teaching and Learning Framework.
Drive the use of evidence-based pedagogy and ICT integration to enhance student learning outcomes.
Represent the HSIE faculty within the broader College community and contribute to the school’s extensive co-curricular and pastoral programs.
Successful Candidate Profile
Extensive teaching experience in HSIE and NESA Accreditation. Previous leadership experience (Head of Department or 2IC) is highly desirable.
A collaborative leader who can inspire staff, manage change effectively, and advocate for the HSIE disciplines.
A deep respect for the Catholic tradition and a passion for the education and formation of young men.
Willingness to lead by example in the school’s extra-curricular and spiritual life.
