The School

Randstad Education has been exclusively engaged to find a visionary leader for the position of Head of HSIE at a prominent Catholic All-Boys College in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. This is an ongoing, permanent leadership role.

The Role

This is a key middle-management leadership position. We are seeking a strong external applicant capable of leading a high-performing faculty through a period of growth and excellence.

• Provide strategic direction for the HSIE department, mentoring staff and fostering a culture of collective teacher efficacy.

• Oversee the development and implementation of HSIE programs across Years 7–12, ensuring alignment with NESA requirements and the school’s Teaching and Learning Framework.

• Drive the use of evidence-based pedagogy and ICT integration to enhance student learning outcomes.

• Represent the HSIE faculty within the broader College community and contribute to the school’s extensive co-curricular and pastoral programs.

Successful Candidate Profile

• Extensive teaching experience in HSIE and NESA Accreditation. Previous leadership experience (Head of Department or 2IC) is highly desirable.

• A collaborative leader who can inspire staff, manage change effectively, and advocate for the HSIE disciplines.

• A deep respect for the Catholic tradition and a passion for the education and formation of young men.

• Willingness to lead by example in the school’s extra-curricular and spiritual life.
